Earlier this year, the Port of Camas-Washougal released three conceptual designs for the first phase of its Waterfront at Parker’s Landing development, but Port officials were adamant that they weren’t going to simply pick one of them.

Camas High School junior Alexa Efraimson has been named the Gatorade National Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year. She received the news Thursday morning when Olympian Molly Huddle stopped by her advanced marketing class. Huddle, a nine time All-American, is the American record holder in the 5,000 meters. She placed 11th in the 5,000 final, at the 2012 Olympic Games, in London.
It's that time of year again. Now that fall has officially made its entrance, pumpkins have come right along with it. Area pumpkin patches are open now through Halloween, and most offer a lot more than just a place to pick out a gourd or two. Many include hay rides, apple cider, corn mazes, petting zoos, local produce and crafts. Jeff Walton, owner of Walton Farms, is looking forward to his sixth year of hosting a pumpkin patch.
