The Two Rivers Heritage Museum is located just off of Highway 14 in downtown Washougal, and is home to a plethora of information about and artifacts from the local area.
Overseen by the Camas-Washougal Historical Society and director Betty Ramsey, the museum has been a source of interest for more than 20 years.
The popular museum will soon have the ability to display even more local history. Construction of the museum's new 2,000 square-foot addition began in fall 2001 and construction was completed in December 2001. The addition was made possible through a $350,000 donation from the late Christine Kropp, a longtime Camas resident and supporter of museum activities. Among its other events, each August the museum holds "Two Rivers Heritage Day," a day-long celebration featuring hobbies, skills, demonstrations and talents plus displays by non-profit organizations in the area. The Two Rivers Heritage Museum is located at 1-16th St., Washougal. For more information, call (360) 835-8742.
