Soroptimists give girls power to be safe

Police Detective Carol Buck shares safety tips
Some of the suggestions Camas Police Department Detective Carol Buck imparted to the Skyridge Mid School seventh- and eighth-grade girls seem like common sense -- but she said that FBI statistics show that an average of one in four girls is sexually assaulted by the age 18. Listening to common sense, or intuition, is one of the best ways to keep safe, Buck said.
