CHS, Dorothy Fox will undergo expansion, renovation
Highlights include an expanded commons area at the high school and separate gym at the elementary school

Camas High School and Dorothy Fox Elementary will both be getting facelifts this year, with construction starting in June.
Improvements at CHS will include: seven new classrooms in the southern wing, a library expansion and entrance vestibule, special education area remodel, a new student commons area, wrestling/training and locker room remodel, magnet program and technical education area remodel to include two new classrooms and upstairs improvements.
At Dorothy Fox, improvements will include: seven new classrooms, a new resource room, new computer room/library remodel, separate gym, expanded cafeteria with performance platform, improvements to covered play area, improvements to the bus loop, site improvements for parent drop-off, parking, on site sidewalks and improved ADA accessibility. All the portables except one will also be removed.
According to Camas School District Capital Programs Manager Heidi Rosenberg, costs have not yet been finalized for the projects, but the estimated amount is $7 million for CHS and $4 million for Dorothy Fox.
