It started simply enough: Tonette Sweet looked around her bare office and thought it would look much better with a few decorations. So, she asked office mate Julie Kilgore what she thought of sprucing up their workspace with monthly holiday themes. “I said, ‘Sure, let’s go for it!’” Kilgore recalled. Before long, the two were creating and assembling decorations modeled after whatever play or musical the students were performing at Washougal High School. Sweet is the accounts payable officer and Kilgore is the fiscal assistant for the Washougal School District. Crunching numbers and filing paperwork all day can get a little boring, so the two go all out when it comes to their creations.
