Pinocchio comes to life in Washougal

Performances will run through Sunday

The classic tale of an aging toy maker and his puppet, Pinocchio, will come to the stage at Washougal High School’s Washburn Performing Arts Center.

Vancouver-based Christian Youth Theatre, which includes performers from Camas and Washougal, will have shows on Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 3 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

School day performances will be 9:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.

Local cast members include Clayton Lukens (Pinocchio), Michael Cozzens (Junior), Kelly Ann Asker and Nathaniel Maszak (automatons), Calla Marvos (marionette), Sandra Maszak and Abbie Barnes (roustabouts), Ahsely Miles (perfect cast), and Madora Doremus, Drew Kjelden, and Ashley Miles (townskids/delinquents).

The crew members are Christopher Mackie (stage manager), Aubrey Miles (props), Kaden Myers (backstage), and Nick Barnes (spotlight).

Prices for tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for youth and senior citizens. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are $9 each.

School day ticket prices are $6 each for groups of 10 or more, if purchased in advance. Tickets are $10 each at the door.

There will also be a meet Santa, Pinocchio and Geppetto day at the matinee Saturday.
