Locals named to WWU honor roll

The following local students were named to Western Washington University’s honor roll.

To qualify for the honor roll, students must complete at least 14 graded credit hours during a quarter and be in the top 10 percent of their class.

They are Evani LaCour, Jason Stonick and Wesley Tai of Camas; and Rachael Hoover and Colette Rood of Washougal.

Book fair to be held at Grass Valley

There will be a book fair at Grass Valley Elementary School, 30000 N.W. Grass Valley Drive. It will take place Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, Feb. 24-25, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parents of Grass Valley students are asked to peruse the “Teachers’ Wish List” at the event and consider donating a book to their child’s teacher.

Webberly lands on president’s list

Paige Webberly of Camas was named to the Graceland University presidents’ list for fall 2010 term. To be named to the list, students must lear a 4.0 GPA.

Graceland University is located in Lamoni, Iowa.

McGaughan named to dean’s list

Loryn McCaughan of Camas has been named to the Harding University dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester. To be eligable, a student must take 12 graded credits and earn at least a 3.65 GPA.

Harding University is located in Searcy, Ark.

Cape Horn-Skye names super citizens

PCA open house is set for Feb. 11

Pacific Crest Academy, a Catholic school in Camas serving students in preschool through middle school, will hold its annual open house for prospective students on Friday, Feb. 11.

The school will be open for tours during three separate sessions throughout the day. Parents, teachers, administrators and board members will be on hand to answer questions and guide visitors around the school. The open house hours are 9 a.m. to noon; 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
