Washougal police discovered a marijuana growing operation over the weekend while responding to a report of a physical disturbance.

An officer was dispatched to a duplex at the 700 block of South “A” Street, Sunday, at approximately 2 a.m. Richard M. Lynch, 26, of Washougal, was arrested on a warrant out of Skamania County.

“The marijuana grow netted 51 plants in various stages of growth,” WPD Sgt. Geoff Reijonen said in a statement.

According to Reijonen, local charges are pending as the investigation continues.
