Local graduates from technical institute

Bradley Downs of Camas graduated from the Information Technology and Communication Systems program at Perry Technical Institute in Yakima.

The graduation ceremony was held Friday, June 17.

Perry Technical Institute is a private, non-profit educational institution in Yakima which offers 10 specialized training programs.

Library seeks sign ups for summer reading

The Camas Public Library has room for more participants in the summer reading program.

All ages may participate through Friday, Aug. 12, and readers earn prizes depending on the number of books read.

Brotherton lands on dean’s list

Hannah Brotherton of Washougal was named to the dean’s list at Bentley University.

To be named to the list, a full-time student must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher with no course grade less than a 2.0 during the term.

Library sets martial arts workshop

The Camas Public Library is hosting a martial arts and self-defense workshop for teens from seventh-grade on up.

It will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28. The library is located at 625 N.E. Fourth Ave.
