Spring community ed catalogs available

The Washougal Community Education and Camas Community Education catalogs are now available online. The catalogs contain information about spring classes and activities.

Washougal Community Education classes include Mad Science, Lego engineering, Spanish, sports camps, ballroom dance, weight loss challenges, Zumba and more. A full listing is available at www.washougal.k12.wa.us/wcer.

Camas Community Education classes include painting, Lego engineering, cheerleading, basketball, cooking, Zumba, weight loss challenge and more.

Community listening posts set this month

The Camas School District is hosting two community “listening posts,” for feedback regarding proposed boundary changes. These will be held at Grass Valley Elementary School, 3000 N.W. Grass Valley Drive, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24; and Hayes Freedom High School, 1919 N.E. Ione St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 26.

Kindergarten registration begins in Washougal

There will be kindergarten registration at Cape Horn-Skye, Gause and Hathaway elementary schools from Monday, April 30 to Friday, May 4.

Registration will take place during regular school hours.

Parents or guardians must bring proof of residency, such as a driver’s license or utility bill, their child’s birth certificate and immunization record.

Birth-to-5 screening May 2

The Washougal School District will have a birth-to-5-year-old screening Wednesday, May 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hathaway Elementary School, 630 24th St. It is open to all children who live in the Washougal School District.
