Seekins
Lyle and Carol Seekins of Brush Prairie will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends during an open house on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St.
They were married Dec. 1, 1962, in Washougal. Lyle is retired after working for 30 years at Crown Cork and Seal, and Carol is retired from Clark Public Utilities after a 21-year career.
Carol is a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush Prairie and likes quilting and sewing. Lyle is active in raising cows on the couple’s small farm in Brush Prairie. They enjoy spending time with family and traveling and attending their grandchildren’s school and athletic events.
They have three children, Tami Farr and her husband Ken Burger of Ridgefield, Leanne Reid and her husband Jeff of Ridgefield, Wash., and Kevin Seekins of Vancouver; and 10 grandchildren.
