Set clocks back one hour Saturday night
Before going to bed Saturday night, remember to set clocks back one hour in preparation for the end of daylight saving time. The time change officially begins at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
It's also a good time to change smoke detector batteries, according to emergency services officials.
"Smoke alarms most often fail because of missing, dead or disconnected batteries, so maintenance is a simple, effective way to protect you and your family," said Washington State Fire Marshal Charles M. Duffy.
Daylight saving time returns the second Sunday in March.
