Darian Reeves of Camas was selected to participate in the 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Portland pageant competition on Sunday Feb. 24.

Reeves learned of her acceptance into this year’s competition when the pageant announced its selections following interviewing in the local Portland area.

Reeves will be competing for thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts.

The competition will include modeling routines of casual wear and formal wear, as well as interviews with the judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition, according to a press release.

If Reeves wins the title of Miss Pre-Teen Portland, she will represent Portland and the surrounding communities at the national competition that will take place in Orlando, Fla.
