The Washougal High School football team broke the ticker tape on their new field turf Friday, at Fishback Stadium.

“Win one for the old gipper,” John Fishback Jr. said before the game.

The Panthers made Fishback proud by beating the Hudson’s Bay Eagles 35-0.

Garrett Duey ran for two touchdowns and Chase Duey threw a touchdown pass to Grayden Economides. Zack Neketuk carried the ball across the goal line. Patrick Jones blocked a punt by Hudson’s Bay and recovered the ball in the end zone.
