A fund has been set up to accept donations to help the family of a pedestrian killed in Camas Dec. 23.

Anneice B. Fich, 66, was hit by a vehicle as she tried to cross Northeast Third Avenue at Weir Street in Camas while pushing a stroller carrying her 2-year-old great-grandson, Eduardo “Lalo” Herrera-Berra.

Fich died at the scene, while Herrera-Berra was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center to be treated for injuries including broken ribs, a punctured lung and a fractured leg. He was released from Legacy Emanuel Health Center in Portland, where he was transferred, Dec. 26.

According to family member Nancy Peebles, an account has been set up at iQ Credit Union to help Herrera-Berra’s mother, Kelsea Fich, with medical costs and other expenses.

Funeral arrangements for Anneice B. Fich are currently pending, Peebles said.
