A Camas man fled the scene of an accident law enforcement officials say he caused when he drove the wrong way down state Route 14.

According to a Washington State Patrol memo, at approximately 11:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Kevin S. Wilson, 40, was driving a 2003 GMC pickup eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 14 at mile post 11.6 in Camas. He struck a 1985 Volkswagen Cabriolet driven by Dan S. Daley, 58, of Vancouver. The Cabriolet then struck a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Ardon A. Derie, 62, of Vancouver.

Daley was injured and transported by ambulance to Legacy Emanuel hospital in Portland. Derie was driven by friends to be treated at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. Wilson was not injured.

Wilson was charged with vehicular assault and felony hit and run.

According to the WSP, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
