Candidates who would like to apply for the Leadership Clark County class of 2016 have until April 30 to submit an application.

“We’ve had a waiting list in prior years,” said LCC Recruiting Committee Co-Chair Jason Beatty. “It’s a good idea for candidates to apply early.”

The Class of 2015 is in session and will graduate in early June. Sessions for the Class of 2016 begin in September 2015.

Leadership Clark County is a nonprofit, nonpartisan civic leadership development program founded in 1993.

Participants are selected through a competitive application process and gain in-depth knowledge of the community and leadership skills that enable them to be more effective in their community involvement.

The nine-month program runs September through May and is open to individuals from Clark County’s private, nonprofit and public sectors.

Nearly 700 people have completed the program and serve the community as business leaders, nonprofit board members, civic group leaders and elected officials.

Applications can be downloaded at www.leadershipclarkcounty.com, where information about financial need and diversity scholarships can also be found.
