News Area veterans are invited to enjoy a free lunch, Saturday, April 18.
Camas Cub Scout Pack 424 will serve soups, salads and desserts from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Camas United Methodist Church, 706 N.E. 14th Ave.
The menu will include gumbo, clam chowder, caesar salad, homemade macaroni and cheese and brownies.
One guest, per veteran, may also eat at no cost. The cost for others will be a $5 per person suggested donation.
The event is open to the public.
The proceeds from the lunch will go to Northwest Battle Buddies, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that provides professionally trained service dogs for combat veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder.
