Linfield releases dean’s list

Linfield College has released its spring semester dean’s list.

To be named to the list, a student must earn at least a 3.65 GPA and complete 12 graded credits.

Students include Amanda Brand, Katelyn Henson and Matthew Walser of Camas.

Locals named to dean’s list

Several local students have been named to the dean’s list at Eastern Washington University.

To be named to the list, a student must take 12 credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or better.

Camas students include: David Anderson, Joshua Bates, Jordan Chabiel, Matthew Danis, Kyle Darland, Michael Digenova, Zachary Eagle, Reilly Hennessey, Alyssa Heredia, Danika Jones, Jordan Lenard, Allyson Lesesne, Stephanie Lunt, Mikaela Norrish, McKenna Paulsen, Gabrielle Roberts, Hailee Roth, Marissa Saidy, Courtney Swan, Madalena Volpi, Melissa Williams and Reed Wortman.

Washougal students include: Kari Johnson, Erin Locke, Caylem Nunes and Jesse Revesz.

Washougal student earns scholarship from WWU

Western Washington University student Tess April Nakaishi, daughter of Richard and Lana Nakaishi of Washougal, has received the William K. McNeill English Literature Memorial Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year.

The scholarship is for a sophomore or junior English major with an interest in obtaining greater knowledge and understanding of English literature.

Recipients are chosen by the dean or their designee. Students must be in good academic standing with the university, demonstrate a high level of skill in English writing, exhibit leadership qualities and good character, and express financial need.

Nakaishi is a senior at Western majoring in English literature and theatre.

Locals graduate from Oregon State University

Several local students earned degrees from Oregon State University.

They include Camas students William Bowen, Bachelor of Science degree, computer science; Jessica K. Brant, B.S., human development and family sciences; Kristen N. Broersma, B.S., human development and family sciences; Natalie M. Burkard, B.S., education, B.S., liberal studies; Kyle R. Jorgenson, B.S., political science; Skye E. Roemer, B.S., psychology; Kelsey J. Stulbarg, B.S., human development and family sciences.

Washougal: Jona L. Ensley, Master of Science, sustainable forest management; Stephen J. MacDonald, B.S., energy systems engineering; Amanda M. O’Quinn, B.S., business administration, B.S., marketing.

EOU announces dean’s list

Eastern Oregon University has announced its spring term dean’s list, which includes two local students, Michelle Stoller of Camas and Alan Stogin of Washougal.

To be named to the list, students must earn at least a 3.5 GPA and complete a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework.

Camas man earns degree

Michael Berliner, a 2007 Camas High graduate, recently earned a master of science degree in writing from Portland State University. His GPA was 3.8.
