Police are hoping witnesses will come forward to provide information that will help locate the driver involved in a hit and run collision in Washougal March 4.

According to the Washington State Patrol, just before 4 p.m., a white 2008 Ford F-350 pickup truck was traveling east on state Route 14, turning north onto 32nd Street in Washougal, when it hit the left side of a green 1998 Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound.

The driver of the Jeep, Tanner J. Pfaff, 17, of Camas, lost control of the vehicle. It rolled and came to a stop on its top in the westbound lane.

The Ford pickup fled the scene and was found abandoned a short time later at the intersection of E and 22nd streets in Washougal. It was owned by a Vancouver landscape company and had been stolen from the 1500 block of Northwest 34th Avenue in Camas earlier that afternoon between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m.

The passenger in the Jeep, Donnelle Bongoto, 17, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver to be treated for her injuries. According to hospital officials, she was released March 6.

Pfaff was not injured.
