Business Owning commercial property will be the topic of a “Lunch & Learn” workshop.
The free session is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Creative Computer Solutions, Inc. offices, 202 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver.
Lunch will be provided for all of the participants.
Jim West, of Coldwell Banker Commercial, will talk about how more than 20 area companies have made commercial property ownership part of their business model during the last year. He will also share effective ways to find properties with good value and negotiate a good deal.
Jim Bright, with the Northwest Business Association, will show how the Small Business Administration 504 Loan, with 10 percent down and a 20-year fixed rate of interest, might be the best tool to acquire a commercial property.
Bryan Halbert, of Halbert Construction Services, LLC, will talk about overcoming development pitfalls as well as the processes of obtaining permits, the costs of building and the importance of a single-point-of-contact to manage projects.
