The Washington State University Extension Clark County Master Gardeners and Clark County Environmental Services will present information about blueberry pruning.

The free workshop will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.

Information will be provided about when to prune, choosing which canes to cut and where to cut them.

Beth Goodnight, a Master Gardener and landscape designer, will discuss tools, garden sanitation, and how pruning is part of a sustainable and organic approach to blueberry plant care.

The workshop is free, and no registration is necessary. Participants will have an opportunity to practice their blueberry care skills on site.

Workshop attendees are advised to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water, garden gloves and a pair of sharpened loppers or hand bypass pruners.
