A company that offers rental space in storage units has relocated its headquarters from Vancouver to Washougal.

Get Space, previously located at 237 N.E. Chkalov Drive, Ste. 102, has moved to Washougal Town Square, 1700 Main St., Ste. 208.

“Some of our team operates remotely or spend much of their time in the field, but on average this office will house about five people,” said Elizabeth Main, content writer for Get Space.

The company, founded in 2013, is a partnership of Benjamin Bradley and Daniel Lyman, both of Washougal, and The Ritchie Group, of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Walking access from the office to parks and trails, as well as showers and bike storage for tenants in Washougal Town Square, were among the reasons for the move to Washougal.

Construction is currently underway on a 570-unit Get Space facility in the Salmon Creek area. The 76,400 square foot building is expected to open at the former site of the Westside Golf Driving Range, 106 N.W. 139th St., Vancouver, by this summer.

Later this year, a 582-unit, 80,800 square foot storage facility is expected to open at 6815 N.E. Ward Road, Vancouver.

The company is also planning to open a 100,000 square foot, multi-story, temperature controlled, secure storage facility in Tigard, Oregon. Get Space opened two locations in Hillsboro, Oregon, in 2015, with plans to build two structures in Portland this year.

Beyond the Northwest, the company will start providing storage opportunities in Nantucket, Massachusetts, during the fourth quarter of 2016.
