Megan Strand recently purchased Salon Magnolia. The salon in downtown Camas sells Aveda hair care and skin care products and offers haircuts and colors and facial waxing.

The former manager of Salon Magnolia is now the owner.

Megan Strand recently purchased the salon in downtown Camas from Lora Brusasco.

“Lora was very open with the team about wanting to sell the salon,” Strand said. “It was an opportunity I was interested in pursuing.

“My co-workers, family and Lora were all very supportive of the transition,” Strand added.

Brusasco opened Salon Magnolia in 2008.

Strand moved from Carson to Washougal two years ago. She graduated from Stevenson High School in 2010.

Strand attended beauty school at the Gene Juarez Academy, in Federal Way, Washington from 2010 to 2011.

She has been a stylist for five years.

“I have continued my education at Aveda with both cutting and color classes, as well as classes for managing a salon and team building,” Strand said.

The salon provides haircuts for men, women and children, as well as hair coloring, deep conditioning treatments and facial waxing.

Salon Magnolia, 218 N.E. Fourth Ave., sells Aveda haircare and styling products, as well as skincare, makeup and tea bags.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
