Kassidy Baldwin and Rylee Erdwins won five games in a row to beat their opponents from R.A. Long Thursday.

“She’s definitely got the serve. I feel like I can get the cross,” Baldwin said.

“We’re equal players. That’s why we work so well together,” Erdwins added.

Washougal defeated R.A. Long 5-1 for its fifth league victory in a row.

Sydney Mederos won a 7-5 tiebreaker in the first set, and then cruised to a 6-1 victory.

“You can come back from 5-0. You can always come back,” Mederos said. “There’s always that point in the game that makes me believe I can win this.”

Playing basketball and volleyball helps Beyonce Bea and Rebecca Boylan become a strong doubles tennis team. On Thursday, they beat their opponents 6-1, 6-1.

Bailey Hammond and Ally Steigmann won their doubles match 6-2, 6-2.

Paige Wilson earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory. She also plays basketball.

Washougal beat Mark Morris, Hudson’s Bay, Hockinson and R.A. Long twice during this streak.

Ridgefield swept the Panthers for the second time Monday.

Washougal hosts Mark Morris Wednesday.
