The Camas City Council on Monday approved the final plat for the first phase of a development that will bring 60 new single-family attached homes to the Prune Hill area.

The first phase of the Parker Village project, a gated community, will include 36 lots at Northwest 20th Avenue and Brady Road. The town home lots range from 1,800 square feet to 4,295 square feet.

The three phases of Parker Village will be built on a total of 7.84 acres. The site includes 18,693 square feet of wetlands.

The project will also include one 15,000 square foot lot reserved for commercial development.

Among the project’s conditions of approval are developer funded frontage road improvements along Brady Road. This will tie-in to the city’s own plans to make improvements to Brady Road to increase safety and allow for pedestrian and bicycle access. According to Engineering Manager James Carothers, design work for the improvements is 60 percent complete.

The project is owned by Patrick Ginn of Ginn Development.
