CCO announces dean’s list

Mackenzie Marlahan of Washougal has been named to the winter dean’s list at Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Oregon.

The list recognizes students enrolled in 12 or more graded credits who receive a GPA of 3.6 or better.

CHS seeks senior board volunteers

Camas High School is preparing for its annual senior board presentations and looking for volunteers to sit on the panel of judges.

This experience is a tradition for all CHS seniors and students to have a chance to showcase their leadership, learning, passions, decisions and hopes for their future.

This year’s projects bring a wide variety of topics and include examples like job-shadowing at an advertising agency, interning at OHSU, creating a musical, and apprenticing as an electrician.

Panel judges, who evaluate a student’s readiness and provide helpful feedback, will have a list of standard questions and an evaluation sheet for each student.

The judges are encouraged to note comments and ask specific questions related to the presentation.

Each presentation is between 8 to 10 minutes in length, and each session of presentations runs for approximately three hours.

Sessions will be held from 7:30 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, June 6-8, and from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 10.
