A restaurant that was expected to begin serving pizzas, chicken wings, hamburgers and desserts in mid-November 2016 is now scheduled to open by the end of February.

Ted Storey, senior vice president of business development for Round Table Pizza, Inc., said construction at 3136 N.E. Third Ave., Camas, has taken longer than expected.

The reconstruction of the 5,000 square foot site includes interior remodel work and relocating the main entrance approximately 10 feet to the south.

“The interior will look similar to other Round Tables we’ve opened in the area,” Storey said.

He has signed a 10-year lease, with two, five-year options. The restaurant is owned by Round Table Development Company, which owns all of the Round Table restaurants in the Portland-Vancouver area.

The Round Table Clubhouse will include an arcade, a banquet room, big screen TVs and a bar with local craft beers on tap. Thirty to 35 full- and part-time employees will work at the new location.

In addition to Pizza Palace, which was open for 44 years at the site, Mill Town Pizza and Angelo’s New York Style Pizza had been located in that space. The building, owned by Sonderen Enterprises LLC, includes Your Party & Event Center.
