CHS students perform musical

Camas High School students will perform a family-friendly fairy tale musical on March 17, 18, 24 and 25th at 7 p.m., and 2 p.m. on the 18th and 25th at the CHS theater, 26900 SE 15th St.

Due to licensing rules, the drama department is not permitted to state the name of the musical in announcements, according to Sean Kelly of the CHS drama department.

Tickets are $7 for students with ASB cards, veterans, senior citizens and children younger than 13. The cost is $10 per adult. Advance tickets are available at wa-camas.intouchreceipting.com/.

Student work on display at show

Student artists from Southwest Washington, including Camas and Washougal, were selected for the 2017 Southwest Washington Regional High School Art Show.

The event, hosted by Educational Service District 112, is in its 44th year.

There were 278 entries received from throughout the six-county region, according to a press release from the ESD.

The artwork is on display through April 7 at ESD 112, 2500 N.E. 65th Avenue, Vancouver.

Local winners include three from Camas High School: Hailee Parman, regional honors and Central Washington University Scholarship award, “Looking in the Mirror”; Nicole Siff, ESD 112 award, “Self Portrait”; and Seth Bradshaw, honorable mention, “The Mayan.”
