A banner has been installed, announcing the future tenant of 3136 N.E. Third Ave., Camas. Round Table is expected to open in the former Pizza Palace location in mid-November.

A building that has been the site of several pizza businesses will soon attract Round Table Pizza customers.

The franchise is expected to open the new restaurant at 3136 N.E. Third Ave., Camas, in mid-November.

Ted Storey, senior vice-president of Round Table Development Co., has signed a 10-year lease, with two, five-year options.

A banner installed Friday announces the restaurant will be a Round Table Clubhouse, with “Pizza, Pub and Play” options.

“It will be one of our bigger Round Tables,” said Arinda Alarcon, the legal and business development coordinator for Round Table Franchise Corporation. “There will be an area for games that kids can go play, receive tickets and redeem for prizes.

“There will also be a nice bar with beer and wine,” she added. “There will be a banquet room to support local teams and community outreach programs.”

Alarcon said from the corporate office headquarters in Concord, California, the interior of the 5,000 square foot Camas site will be reconstructed.

Camas Building Official Bob Cunningham said Round Table has applied for building permits to do interior remodel work and relocate the main entrance approximately 10 feet to the south.

Round Table is expected to hire 30 to 35 full- and part-time employees to work at the new location. The building, owned by Sonderen Enterprises LLC, includes Your Party & Event Center.

In addition to Pizza Palace, which was open for 44 years at the future Round Table site, Mill Town Pizza and Angelo’s New York Style Pizza had been located in that space.

Round Table Pizza was founded in 1959 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now there are more than 450 locations in the Western United States and in five countries.
