LIBRARY PROGRAMS

Camas Public Library: The adult monthly board game night is Friday, Jan. 19, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Read to Cooper, the dog. Cooper will be at the library every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. Each session is 15 minutes long and advanced sign-up is required. The Simply Write: Critique Group meets every fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. Story Explorers, a new book discussion group for second- and third-graders and the student’s adult, meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Sign up in the library. Club K3 is held on the third Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. Page Turners, for fourth- through sixth-graders and parents, is held on the first Tuesday of the month, from September to May, at 6:30 p.m. It is located at Lacamas Lake Lodge, 277 N.E. Lake Road, Camas. The Any Book Club meets every fourth Monday at 4 p.m., now until May. Teen Zine Club is on the first Wednesday of the month, from 3 to 5 p.m. This is for students in grades 7-12. Lego Club is held on the third Thursday of each month, at 4 p.m. The Pokemon Club meets every second Thursday at 4 p.m. The library, located at 625 N.E. Washougal Community Library: The adult book discussion will meet Tuesday, Jan 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The book for this month is A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. Voluntary Simplicity continues until Thursday, Feb. 1. SENIOR CITIZENS

Meals on Wheels: Lunches, prepared by The Meals on Wheels People, are served Monday through Thursday, at 11:30 a.m., in the Washougal Community Center, 1681 “C” St., Washougal. Meals on Wheels home delivery is available Monday through Friday. Volunteers are needed. Camas Senior Center: The Camas seniors group travels to the Red Wind Casino on the Nisqually Indian Reservation in Thurston County, Washington, on the third Monday of each month. Washougal Senior Center: The Washougal Senior Center provides coffee Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. through the 11:30 a.m. lunch, which is served by Meals on Wheels. On Monday, at 11 a.m., the center hosts a food bank, and at 1 p.m., a “hand and foot” clinic. On Monday and Wednesday, at 10 a.m., the center hosts an exercise class. On Friday, at 10 a.m., the class will be held in Camas. Billiards is played on Tuesday and Thursday, at 1 p.m. Music with Jeffree will be held on Tuesday and Music with Gabe is on Thursday, at 11 a.m. The watercolor class will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. On Wednesday, there will be an exercise class at 10 a.m., gift bingo at 11 a.m., and regular bingo at 1 p.m. On Thursday, the tai chi class (held in Camas) begins at 9:30 a.m. The center also hosts pinochle at 1 p.m. on Thursday.

VOLUNTEERS

Lost and Found Cafe: Meals are served to the community on Thursdays, at 6 p.m., at the Zion Lutheran Church social hall, 824 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. Volunteer cooks are needed. For more information, call Inter-Faith Treasure House Executive Director Nancy Wilson at 360-834-4181.

Camas Community Education: The Camas Community Education winter class schedule includes Art Van-Go Drawing and Paints, Chefs in Training, day camps, Early Learning classes; a variety of enrichment classes, which include Lego building and engineering, Mad Science, My Dolly and Me dress design and tea, science olympiad; as well as language, safety and sports classes. Camas Parks and Recreation: Toddler and Me Yoga, for children ages 18 months to 5 years, is held each Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Lacamas Lodge, 227 N.E. Lake Road. Cost of the class is $10 (drop-in fee), which includes one adult and one child. Each additional child costs $2. Winter camps include soccer, Kung Fu for kids, Toddler and Me Yoga, preschool sports classes, adult fitness, arts and crafts workshops, adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED classes and senior programs. Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce: The chamber’s monthly luncheon will be Thursday, Jan. 18, at Camas Meadows, 4105 N.W. Daughters of Neptune: The Daughters of Neptune will hold a boater education class on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Dolphin Yacht Club, 34 S. “A” St., Washougal. Lunch will be provided. The cost of this class is $25 per person. The class is open to ages 12 and older and class size is limited.
