Events and Street Closures in Downtown Camas
Downtown Camas often serves as a backdrop for community events and celebrations. Many of these annual events have been happening for 10 years or more. Here is a partial list of the road/parking closures associated with some of the larger events in downtown Camas:
Plant & Garden Fair: Northeast Fourth Avenue, between Northeast Adams and Everett streets, and adjacent side streets on Northeast Third and Fifth avenues closed from 12:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., day of fair.
Camas Car Show: Northeast Fourth Avenue, between Northeast Adams and Dallas streets, and adjacent side streets on Northeast Third, Fifth and Sixth avenues, and Northeast Fifth Avenue from Adams to Cedar streets, closed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., day of event.
Camas Vintage & Art Faire: Northeast Fourth Avenue, between Northeast Adams and Cedar streets, and Northeast Birch Street between Northeast Third and Fifth avenues, closed from 12:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., day of event.
Boo Bash: Northeast Fourth Avenue, between Northeast Adams and Franklin streets, and adjacent side streets on Northeast Third and Fifth avenues closed from noon to 6 p.m., day of event. Note: A new city policy may close the streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during this event.
Hometown Holidays: Northeast Fourth Avenue, between Northeast Adams and Dallas streets, and adjacent side streets on Northeast Third and Fifth avenues closed from 1 to 11 p.m., day of event; Birch Street from Third to Fourth avenues closed from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., day of event.
Camas Days: Northeast Fourth Avenue from Adams to Everett streets, and on Birch, Cedar and Dallas streets, from Northeast Third to Fifth avenues, from 3 p.m. on the Thursday before Camas Days to early Sunday morning the weekend of the festival.
Parking Shuttle: The city of Camas is planning to test a parking shuttle during the 2018 Hometown Holidays event. If successful, the shuttle may be used again for events like the 2019 Camas Days or 2019 Camas Car Show.
