COVID-19 vaccinations begin in Washington

COVID-19 vaccinations began in Washington state this week after the 17-member Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup determined that federal reviews of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine showed the drug was safe and effective.

Camas restaurants, bars cope with new round of COVID-19 restrictions

Three days after Gov. Jay Inslee announced he was extending a three-week ban on indoor dining to help get explosive COVID-19 case rates under control, the owners of Salud! Wine Bar in downtown Camas found themselves rushing to prepare takeout orders for their drive-up “Santa Delivery” event.

Big time drops for swimmers at districts

Seven Camas and four Washougal girls swimmers are on their way to the state championship meet Friday and Saturday, at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.

Osprey Walkers are all-weather friends

Anyone who has ever ran or walked the Round Lake trails knows it is a challenge with its switchbacks and rolling hills. But there's a local walking club, with many of its members in their 70s, 80s and even 90s, who traverse the terrain five days a week, rain, shine, hot or cold.
