The Washougal Police Department is investigating an armed bank robbery.

Surveillance video shows a white male entered the Chase Bank branch at 733 “E” St., Tuesday, at about 5:45 p.m. The suspect pointed a handgun at the teller and demanded cash.

He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left.

The suspect is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a small build. At the time of the robbery, he was dressed in black with tan pants and wearing a black stocking cap.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the WPD detective unit at 835-8701, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 911 after hours. This suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police recommend people do not attempt to contact the suspect. Instead, call 911.
