C-W Chamber seeks citizen, business person of the year nominations

The Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Citizen of the Year and Business Person of the Year awards.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m., Monday, May 1.
For the citizen award, the nominees must be residents of the 98607 or 98671 zip code areas, who perform volunteer service and have made an overall positive impact on the community.
Nominees for the business award must be the owner, manager, or chief executive officer of a company that operates within the 98607 or 98671 zip code areas.
The company must exhibit a positive influence on the Camas-Washougal business climate and promote the community.
The length of time living or working in the area, as well as the overall appearance of the business also are important components of the selection process.
Applications are available in the chamber office at 422 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas and online at www.cwchamber.com.
The 2016 honorees were Citizen of the Year Randy Curtis and Businesspersons of the Year Jerry and Mary Sauer, owners of Excavator Rental Services, LLC.
The 2017 awards will be announced Friday, May 5, and presented during a banquet on Wednesday, June 7, at Camas Meadows Golf Club, 4105 N.W. Camas Meadows Dr., Camas. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Banquet tickets cost $35 per person and can be purchased in advance at the C-W Chamber office or by calling 360-834-2472 to be put on the attendance list.
