PAID PRINTED OBITUARY

Richard D. Davis

A Celebration of the Life of Richard D. Davis is planned for Sunday, June 3, at 11 am at Fallen Leaf Lake Park, 2911 N.E. Everett St., Camas.

Richard passed away peacefully this past winter from complications of Vascular Dementia, just short of his 75th birthday.

He is survived by his wife, Margie (Betzing) Davis; children, Holly (Matt) Cowan, Eric (Amy) Davis, Maria Davis, Fred (Nici) Kellogg, and five grandchildren, plus many siblings, nieces and nephews.

Richard is most remembered for his infectious smile, laughter and zest for life. He loved his family, photography, bicycling, hiking, all sports, and eating and feeding apples to the deer on Bear Prairie.

As an Eagle Scout, he set an example of those 12 core values his entire life—trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

He served on the USS Enterprise in the Navy, retired from the paper mill, and was a bicycle mechanic.

He bought some property, cut down the trees and built a log home for his family.

He cared for and protected others to the end.

He was a kind, very wise and happy man.

Memorial contributions may be made to HOPE Dementia Support, 9901 NE 7th Ave. Suite 212, Vancouver, WA 98685.
