Clark County Green Business to offer waste-reduction workshops

Clark County Green Business is hosting a three-part virtual workshop series this spring. 

The first workshop, on Washington state’s sustainability initiatives, was held March 16. The others include: 

The workshop series includes:

  • Sustainable Waste Management, 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20
  • Handling Hazardous Materials, 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11

The second session, Sustainable Waste Management, will explore what it means to throw something away, and what happens to materials after they’re thrown in the trash. The session will cover the recycling process and common waste misconceptions and provide actionable steps to generate less waste in a business.

The final session will focus on hazardous materials with another presentation from the Department of Ecology. The workshop will explain hazardous waste, how to manage and dispose of it, and how to reduce the amount generated.
