Camas High School’s DECA chapter recently held a career development conference for its members as well as community leaders.

The event was held at CHS and served as a practice competition for the competitive marketing organization, as well as a way for community members to receive a firsthand look at the chapter.

Representatives from the Camas School Board, Downtown Camas Business Association and Fisher Investments attended. Parents of current CHS students also volunteered at the event. Approximately 30 volunteers worked as judges and were able to see a role-play business situation, in addition to a research project presentation.

This event served as a precursor to an area competition and helped provide students with an opportunity to present projects and role-play business situations to judges, according to a press release.
