Prestige Care in Camas, a senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care facility, recently earned a deficiency-free survey from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.

According to a press release, centers that earn deficiency-free surveys successfully demonstrate that they meet and exceed state and federal standards for safety and quality care.

In Washington, skilled nursing centers are evaluated by state officials following an extensive, unannounced survey, which is conducted on site over several days. Inspectors judge a community’s performance on quality measures in 15 categories that cover patient satisfaction, safety, quality of care, medication management, hygiene, food service and more.

Deficiency-free surveys are exceedingly rare, and place Prestige Care and Rehabilitation – Camas among the top-performing skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers nationwide.

“We are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care from a setting that shares our values-driven approach to compassionate care,” said Michael Moses, administrator at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation – Camas. “We strive to continually find ways to enhance patient care and we’re proud of the recognition this survey brings to our team’s dedication to great care and service.”

Survey results and ratings from the CMS and DSHS inform consumers about health and safety inspection results of varying centers and allow them to track the improvements a particular center has made over time.

Prestige Care and Rehabilitation – Camas offers short- and long-term skilled nursing and rehabilitative care. Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and restorative nursing. It also offers a comprehensive activities program to fulfill social, recreational and spiritual care needs.
