Local runners hold their own at Pre-Nationals

Competing against some of the best high school and middle school cross country teams in the western United States gave the Camas and Washougal squads something to shoot for Saturday, at Portland Meadows.

Camas rises to the top at Prairie Invitational

The Camas High School boys golf team defeated Union by two strokes for the second time in three days. The Papermakers also rose above 14 other schools to win the Prairie Invitational Wednesday, at The Cedars on Salmon Creek.

Issues could drive boost in general election turnout

Although the 2014 primary election produced relatively dismal voter turnout numbers countywide (28 percent) and statewide (31 percent), Secretary of State Kim Wyman is hoping several factors will turn those numbers around for the upcoming general election.
