Camas School Board OKs deal with PSE union

The Camas School Board this week approved a collective bargaining agreement between the Camas School District and the Public School Employees of Camas (PSE) union representing nearly 650 custodians, bus drivers, paraeducators, health assistants, food services workers, technology, mechanics and maintenance employees.

Camas unveils draft of long-awaited Lakes Management Plan

City of Camas staff and consultants have wrapped up a yearlong water quality study of Lacamas, Round and Fallen Leaf lakes and presented city officials with recommended strategies for reducing the toxic algal blooms that have plagued the lakes in recent years.

City of Camas faces unexpected revenue shortfall

The city of Camas is facing an unexpected revenue shortfall that could prevent the hiring of more than 20 positions in 2024, including eight firefighters, two police officers, two police sergeants, a parks project manager and three street maintenance positions.

Camas leaders resurrect off-leash dog park talks

It has been more than six years since Camas-Washougal’s only off-leash dog park — the Donald and Angeline Stevenson Off Leash Area located on a 16-acre parcel at 3003 Addy St., in Washougal — closed its gates, forcing local dog owners in search of an off-leash park to shuttle their pooches to other parts of Clark County.

Camas preps for long-term planning project
