James D. Brusseau

James D. Brusseau died Aug. 8, 2010, in Madison, Wis. He was 62.

A remembrance attended by friends was held at a local coffee shop. It was an event he would have been very happy with, and enjoyed being with his friends once again.

Burial was Aug. 11, at the Cemetery of National Veterans in Rock Island, Ill.

Duane and Linda Buhrmester

Duane Pual Buhrmester, 57, and Linda Lou (Fischer) Buhrmester, 56, both formerly of Camas, died July 27, 2010, in a mountaineering accident in Colorado.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Camas United Methodist Church, 706 N.E. 14th Ave. A potluck reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Michael and Ryan Buhrmester Family Fund, 5012 Rowena Ave., Austin, Texas, 78751, or to the Custer County, Colo., Search and Rescue Team.

Bud Burrows

Longtime Spokane radio and country music singing star Bud Burrows died at his home in Arizona surrounded by loving members of his family.

Funeral services will be private.

Marlene D. Fortenbury

Marlene Diane Fortenbury died Aug. 14, 2010, in Washougal. She was 70.

There will be no public services. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Clyde S. McCandlish

Clyde Stemen McCandlish Sr. died peacefully Aug. 16, 2010, in Vancouver. He was 91.

Clyde Morby died peacefully Aug. 1, 2010, at home with his loving family by his side, following a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was 76.

Lewis LeRoy Richardson Sr.

Lewis LeRoy Richardson Sr. died Aug. 8, 2010, at home in Astoria. He was 94.

A Catholic memorial mass will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at St. Mary Star of the Sea, 1465 Grand Ave., in Astoria. Inurnment will be at the Camas Cemetery. Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Schaeffer-Castillo

Marie Schaeffer-Castillo died Aug. 10, 2010, in Portland, Ore. She was 54.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held Saturday, at 3 p.m., at Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.

Cora May Fitch Stovtuedt

Cora May Fitch Stovtuedt died June 26, 2010, in Longview, Wash. She was 83.

Interment was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. A celebration of life will be held Aug. 21, at 3 p.m., in Longview.
