Mary Elizabeth DeBoever

Mary DeBoever died peacefully Aug. 22, 2010, after touching countless lives in an ever caring and positive way. She was 86.

Visitation will Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas. A Rosary will be recited at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Camas on Friday, at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will also be at St. Thomas church on Saturday, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Camas Cemetery.

Zachary A. Gallo

Zachary A. Gallo died Aug. 16, 2010, in Washougal. He was 27.

He was born May 30, 1983 in San Jose, Calif. Services were held Saturday in Nevada City, Calif. Local arrangements were handled by Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas.

Erna A. Jensen

Erna A. Jensen died Aug. 17, 2010, at her home in Camas. She was 69.

A celebration of Erna’s life was held Saturday at the Camas Assembly of God Church. Vault interment followed at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Leonard G. Knutson

Leonard George Knutson died Aug. 17, 2010, at his home in Washougal. He was 80.

A celebration of Leonard’s life will be held Wednesday, at 5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas. Private vault interment with military honors will be held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Loretta L. Malfait

Loretta Louise Malfait, of Washougal, died Aug. 10, 2010, in Vancouver. She was 78.

A graveside service was held Monday at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Rosemary Minton died Aug. 21, 2010, in Seattle. She was 87.

Shirley W. Sluys

Shirley W. Sluys died Aug. 16, 2010, and will now be reunited with her brother, Lloyd Smith, recently deceased son, Walter “Jimmy” Stowe Jr., as well as her parents and other loved ones.

All who have been touched by Shirley are invited to a celebration of life and potluck style gathering at her home, 518 S.E. Washougal River Road, in Washougal, on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 2 p.m.

Shirley will be laid to rest alongside family in Sutherlin, Ore.

Cora May Fitch Stortvedt

Cora May Fitch Stortvedt died June 26, 2010, in Longview, Wash. She was 83.

Interment was held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver. A celebration of life was held Aug. 21, in Longview.

Kirk D. Strobeck

Kirk Douglas Strobeck was born on Aug. 11, 1960, in Portland, Ore. He died Aug. 15, 2010, doing what he loved best – racing the wind near the mountain.

A memorial service was held Saturday, at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas.
