Basketball fans breathed new life into the "Red and Black" rivalry between the Camas Papermakers and the Union Titans Wednesday, at Union High School.

The “Red and Black” rivalry is back.

Basketball fans from the two rival high schools in Camas met under one roof for the first time in months to settle the score.

The Papermaker girls got the party started by smashing the Titans 48-21. Eleven different Papermakers put points on the board, while Union was limited to 4 points in the first quarter, 7 in the second, 5 in the third and 5 in the fourth.

Camas boys had the tougher task of trying to tame the defending state champions on their home floor. The Papermakers appeared to be on the verge of a sweep, but Union rallied back on three Titanic 3-pointers for a 67-63 victory.
