News A Camas couple was found dead Monday evening in what police are describing as an apparent suicide.
The bodies of 53-year-old David Lloyd Mickel and his wife 44-year-old Anna Marie Mickel, were discovered inside their residence at the 1500 block of Northwest 10th Avenue at approximately 10:51 p.m.
According to Camas Police Department Detective Carol Buck, the cause of death is poisoning by carbon monoxide, which was relased by a barbecue grill lit inside the home. There was also evidence of drugs in the house.
Police responded to the residence after receiving a call from a family member of the couple who expressed concern when she hadn’t heard from them in several days.
