Wanda McFarlane has opened Healthier Choices, in Washougal. The shop sells Hawaiian pasta salad, key lime strawberry cheese bake mixes and gluten-free apricot barbecue sauce. "I enjoy finding unusual, but useful gifts," McFarlane said. The new business also has bird feeders, grain-free pet food, Western-theme jewelry and Bella Sara books and puzzles.

A wide variety of food and gifts for people and pets is available at a new shop in Washougal.

Wanda McFarlane opened Healthier Choices in late October.
