Voter registration deadline is July 19

Aug. 17 primary includes local issues

Currently unregistered voters who would like to cast a ballot in the Aug. 17 Primary Election must submit information to the Clark County Elections Office by Monday, July 19.

Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by July 19 or earlier. Online registration must be submitted prior to midnight on July 19.

All change of address information by currently registered voters must also be submitted by July 19.

Issues on the Primary ballot will include a City of Washougal emergency medical services property tax levy, and a Fort Vancouver Regional Library District property tax levy.

There are also a number of legislative positions up for election including U.S. senator, U.S. representative Third Congressional District, 15th District state senator, 15th and 18th District state representative. At the county level, there will be elections for assessor, auditor, clerk, commissioner District 3, prosecuting attorney, sheriff and treasurer.

Citizens who are not currently registered anywhere in Washington have until Monday, Aug. 9, to register in person at the Clark County Elections office, 1408 Franklin St., in Vancouver.
