Columbia Ridge to host networking opportunity Thursday

Local business owners and health care providers are invited to mingle with others during a networking event at Columbia Ridge Senior Living, in Washougal.

The free event will be held Thursday, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wine will be served.

Columbia Ridge, a retirement and assisted living facility, is located at 2300 W. Ninth St. For more information or to RSVP for the networking event, call 335-1238.

Oliver’s chefs will offer Easter ideas and recipes on KPTV

Two local chefs will be featured this weekend on Portland TV.

Morris Fenton and Gwyn Manney, from Oliver’s at the Camas Hotel, will demonstrate a few recipes on “Carson’s Kitchen,” a cooking segment that airs during “Good Day Oregon,” on KPTV Fox 12, at 7:25 a.m. The recipes will include a blue cheese souffle.

The chefs will be featured again during Mother’s Day weekend, when they make a hollandaise sauce for eggs benedict.

An Easter buffet will be served at Oliver’s Sunday, featuring ham steak, chicken pie, scones, quiche, eggs benedict, fruit, cheese, hazelnut chocolate-stuffed French toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, cobb salad, pot de creme and mimosas.

The cost will be $35 per person and $17.50 for children younger than 12. Required reservations are available at 9 and 10:30 a.m., as well as noon and 2 p.m. Diners may stop by the Camas Hotel lobby after brunch to choose Easter eggs with treats inside.

Papa’s Ice Cream will host bunco night

An evening of bunco will be on the menu at Papa’s Ice Cream.

Bunco night will be held Friday, April 29, at 9 p.m. The cost to attend, $7 per person, includes soda with refills and a scoop of ice cream. There will be room for up to 48 players.
