Fundraising underway for covered playground

Cape Horn-Skye Elementary is offering a unique opportunity for community members to contribute to its “Covered Playground Project.”

Students have been working for two years to raise enough money to build a 40 by 90 foot cover over the existing playground so that even during inclement weather, they can still get outdoors.

Currently $5,000 short of their goal, a fundraiser has been established for families to have their names engraved on a bronze plaque which will be permanently placed alongside the finished structure.

Several tiers are available including a star sponsorship for $50 or more, bronze sponsorship for $100 or more, a silver sponsorship for $250 or more, and a gold sponsorship for $500 or more.

Donations are tax deductible and can be mailed to Cape Horn-Skye Boosters, 9731 Washougal River Road, Washougal, WA 98671. Donors should note the name to be engraved on the plaque.
