Jan Tauc died peacefully Dec. 28, 2010, at his home in Washougal. He was 88.

Barry W. Avery

Barry W. Avery died at home in Washougal Dec. 29, 2010. He was 52.

Edith Schoonover

Edith Schoonover died peacefully Dec. 29, 2010, at Mountainview Assisted Living Facility in Camas. She was 99.

A service was held today at First Christian Church in Chehalis, followed by graveside services at Claquato Cemetery. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas was in charge of arrangements.

Stanley J. Wells

Stanley Jay Wells died Dec. 26, 2010, in Troutdale, Ore. He was 40.

Eric L. Greiff

Eric Lee Greiff, of Vancouver, died Dec. 16, 2010, with his daughters by his side, at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital after a short but courageous battle with liver cancer. He was 55.

A memorial service will be held at Straub’s Funeral Home, 325 N.E. Third Ave., in Camas, Saturday, at 2 p.m.

John R. ‘Johnny’ Garver

John Rex “Johnny” Garver died Dec. 26, 2010, in Everett, Wash. He was 77.

A memorial service will be held Friday, at 12:30 p.m., at Washougal United Methodist Church, 4020 “M” St., in Washougal. A graveside service will then be held at 1:30 p.m., at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery, 3329 “Q” St., followed by a reception at Silver Star Search and Rescue, 1220 “A” St., in Washougal.

Memorial donations can be made to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society in Washougal or Silver Star Search and Rescue.
